How To Contour Makeup

How to contour makeup

Have beauty products, but don’t know how to apply them? Dr.Usha Rajagopal and staff at the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center love great artistry! We’ve come up with a few simple steps for you on how to contour makeup!

✔️ Apply foundation.
You want your face to be even in skin tone before applying lighter and darker shades for contour. Apply moisturizer, then apply a foundation that matches your necks skin tone.

✔️ Select a Highlighting Color.
Choose a color that is two shades lighter than your initial foundation shade. This color will be used to highlight areas on your face.

✔️ Select a Shading Color.
Choose a color that is two shades darker than your initial foundation shade. This color will be used to shade areas on your face such as underneath your chin for definition.

✔️ Select a Blending Tool.
You can choose a brush, beauty blender or even your fingers to blend in makeup if you’re working with cream products.

✔️ Apply Highlighting Color.
Apply this color to your forehead, top of brows, bridge of nose, Cupid’s bow and chin.

✔️ Apply Shading Color.
Apply this color below your hairline, alongside the forehead and nose and along the jaw line.

✔️ Blend.
Use your brush, beauty blending sponge or fingers to blend in your makeup.

✔️ Add Shimmer.
You can add slight shimmer around areas that have been highlighted for a more dramatic effect.

✔️ Add Blush.
Add Blush to your cheeks for a pop of color.

✔️ Apply Setting Powder.
Use a setting powder to keep your makeup in place throughout the day!

✔️ Apply Lip Makeup.
Use a pop of color on your lips for a natural or dramatic pout!

✔️Apply Eye Makeup.
Light liner and mascara will go a long way with a contoured face.

✔️ Finished.
